Course Overview
This 6-month Peer-to-Peer Training Program is designed to prepare participants for certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist.
The program is delivered through a combination of self-paced online learning and weekly virtual sessions. It covers key areas including peer support foundations, communication skills, recovery tools, documentation, and professional development.
Upon completion, participants will be prepared to meet Virginia DBHDS requirements and pursue certification through the Virginia Certification Board.
