Refund and Returns Policy
# Refund and Returns Policy
**Last Updated: 08/19/2026**
At Millennium Training, we understand that circumstances may change during your training. This Refund and Returns Policy explains the circumstances under which students may withdraw from a program and receive a tuition refund.
This policy applies to students enrolled in the Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), Certified Substance Abuse Counselor-Assistant (CSAC-A), PRS, and RBT training programs.
1. Withdrawal and Refund Schedule
Students who voluntarily withdraw from the program may be eligible for a tuition refund based on when the withdrawal occurs. Refunds are calculated according to the schedule below.
CSAC Program — 240 Hours
| Withdrawal Timing | Program Completed | Refund Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Before first class session | 0% | 100% of tuition |
| Week 1–2 (Days 1–14) | 1–10% | 75% of tuition |
| Week 3–4 (Days 15–28) | 11–20% | 50% of tuition |
| Week 5–6 (Days 29–42) | 21–30% | 25% of tuition |
| After Week 6 (Day 43+) | 30%+ | No refund |
CSAC-A Program — 120 Hours
| Withdrawal Timing | Program Completed | Refund Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Before first class session | 0% | 100% of tuition |
| Week 1 (Days 1–7) | 1–10% | 75% of tuition |
| Week 2 (Days 8–14) | 11–20% | 50% of tuition |
| Week 3 (Days 15–21) | 21–30% | 25% of tuition |
| After Week 3 (Day 22+) | 30%+ | No refund |
PRS Program — 72 Hours (6-Month Program)
| Withdrawal Timing | Program Completed | Refund Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Before first class session | 0% | 100% of tuition |
| Months 1–2 | 1–10% | 75% of tuition |
| Months 3–4 | 11–20% | 50% of tuition |
| Months 5–6 | 21–30% | 25% of tuition |
| After Month 6 | 30%+ | No refund |
RBT Program — 40 Hours
| Hours Completed | Program Completed | Refund Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Before first session | 0% | 100% of tuition |
| 0.1–4 hrs | 1–10% | 75% of tuition |
| 4.1–8 hrs | 11–20% | 50% of tuition |
| 8.1–12 hrs | 21–30% | 25% of tuition |
| 12+ hrs | 30%+ | No refund |
All four programs (CSAC, CSAC-A, PRS, and RBT) use the same refund percentage tiers above (100% / 75% / 50% / 25% / no refund), scaled to each program’s length.
Important Refund Rules
The official withdrawal date is the date Millennium Training receives the student’s written withdrawal request.
Refunds are calculated based on tuition actually paid, not the total tuition originally owed.
Any outstanding balance may remain due even after withdrawal.
Course materials and program resources may no longer be accessible after withdrawal.
Withdrawal from the program does not automatically cancel outstanding financial obligations unless specifically stated in the refund calculation.
These provisions are based on the withdrawal and refund schedule contained in the Millennium Training Student Handbook.
Students who withdraw in good standing may rejoin a future cohort and receive credit for completed domains within 2 years of their withdrawal date.
2. Medical Withdrawal
Students experiencing a documented medical emergency that prevents them from completing the program may request a medical withdrawal for special consideration.
Requirements
Students requesting a medical withdrawal must:
Submit a written request to the Program Coordinator.
Provide medical documentation from a licensed healthcare provider.
Provide documentation indicating:
The general nature of the medical condition;
The dates of incapacity; and
The provider’s recommendation regarding the student’s ability to continue the program.
Detailed medical diagnoses are not required when general documentation is sufficient to establish the need for withdrawal.
Medical Withdrawal Options
Depending on the circumstances, Millennium Training may offer one of the following options:
Option A: Prorated Refund
A refund may be calculated based on the percentage of the program that has not been completed.
A prorated refund may exceed the standard refund schedule when appropriate documentation supports the request.
The amount is determined on a case-by-case basis.
Option B: Leave of Absence
The student may pause enrollment for up to six months.
The student may return to a future cohort at the same point in the curriculum.
No additional tuition is charged for repeated content.
Medical clearance may be required before returning.
Option C: Program Transfer
The student may transfer to a future cohort beginning from the start of the program.
Credit may be applied toward the new cohort’s tuition.
Any refund is subject to the applicable refund policy.
Medical withdrawal decisions are made by the Program Director in consultation with the Program Coordinator and are final.
3. Administrative Withdrawal
Millennium Training may administratively withdraw a student under certain circumstances.
Non-Attendance
A student may be administratively withdrawn when the student:
Fails to attend for 14 consecutive days without communicating with the program;
Receives written notice at their Millennium Training email address; and
Fails to respond within five business days.
Non-Payment
A student may be administratively withdrawn when:
Their account is 30 or more days past due despite applicable payment-plan arrangements;
Written notice has been provided; and
The student has been given an opportunity to resolve the outstanding balance.
Failure to Meet Program Requirements
Administrative withdrawal may also occur when a student cannot meet program requirements because of circumstances beyond academic performance, such as loss of required technology without an available alternative or relocation that prevents participation within the required time zone.
Refund for Administrative Withdrawal
The standard refund schedule applies based on the official withdrawal date.
Non-attendance and non-payment withdrawals are subject to the standard refund policy.
No refund is available for an administrative withdrawal occurring after the applicable refund deadline.
4. Dismissal
4.1 Academic Dismissal
A student may be dismissed for academic reasons, including:
Failure to meet academic requirements after the probation period;
Exceeding the maximum allowable absences; or
Failure to pass required assessments after available retake opportunities.
For academic dismissal, the standard refund schedule applies based on the date of dismissal.
4.2 Conduct Dismissal
A student may be dismissed for:
Violation of the Student Code of Conduct;
Academic integrity violations;
Behavior that endangers others; or
Other serious or egregious violations of program policies.
No refund will be provided for dismissal resulting from conduct violations, regardless of when the dismissal occurs.
Students may appeal dismissal decisions through the applicable appeal or grievance process described in the Student Handbook. Appeals must be submitted in writing within 5 business days to the Program Director at james@ucass.org.
5. Attendance-Related Non-Completion
Attendance is an essential requirement for program completion. Students must meet the minimum attendance requirement established in the Student Handbook.
Students who exceed the maximum allowable absence limit will not receive a Certificate of Completion and may be offered the opportunity to repeat the program in a future cohort.
No tuition refund is provided when a student fails to complete the program because of attendance-related non-compliance.
6. How to Request a Withdrawal and Refund
Students requesting withdrawal and/or a refund should submit a written request to the Program Coordinator.
Step 1: Submit Written Request
Email the Program Coordinator at:
admin@millenniumtraining.org
The request should include:
Full name;
Program enrolled in (CSAC or CSAC-A, PRS or RBT);
Cohort start date;
Last date of attendance;
Reason for withdrawal, if the student wishes to provide one; and
A request for a refund, if applicable.
Step 2: Exit Communication
The Program Coordinator will contact the student to confirm the withdrawal.
An exit survey may be requested, and students may be asked to return program materials when applicable.
Step 3: Refund Calculation
Millennium Training will calculate any applicable refund based on:
The official withdrawal date;
The student’s program;
The applicable refund schedule; and
The amount of tuition actually paid.
Written confirmation of the refund amount and any outstanding balance will be provided to the student.
Step 4: Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of the withdrawal date.
Refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method when possible. If the original payment method is unavailable, Millennium Training may arrange an alternative method of payment. Check refunds may be mailed to the address on file.
7. Payment Plan Considerations
Students enrolled under a payment plan are subject to the following:
If the calculated refund exceeds the amount the student has actually paid, the refund will be limited to the amount paid.
Any remaining installments may be cancelled when the student’s refund calculation results in no remaining balance.
If the amount already paid is greater than the applicable refund amount, the student may still owe an outstanding balance.
A written statement of account will be provided when applicable.
Payments are subject to a 5-business-day grace period. A $50 late fee applies after the grace period. Accounts that are 10 or more days past due are placed on hold, and the student cannot access course materials, attend sessions, or receive their certificate until the balance is resolved.
8. Scholarships and Agency-Sponsored Students
For students whose tuition is funded through a scholarship or agency sponsorship:
Refunds for scholarship recipients will be returned to the applicable scholarship fund.
Refunds for agency-sponsored students will generally be returned to the sponsoring agency.
The student will be notified regarding the disposition of the refund.
9. Disputing a Refund Amount
If a student believes their refund was calculated incorrectly, the student should:
Review this Refund and Returns Policy;
Contact the Program Coordinator and identify the specific concern;
Provide documentation supporting the student’s position; and
Request review by the Program Director if the matter remains unresolved.
10. Course Materials and Access After Withdrawal
Upon withdrawal, administrative withdrawal, or dismissal, access to course materials and program resources may be terminated.
Students should not retain, distribute, reproduce, or share Millennium Training course materials with individuals who are not enrolled in the program.
Any Certificate of Completion is dependent upon meeting the program’s completion requirements. Withdrawal or dismissal before successful completion may prevent the issuance of a Certificate of Completion.
11. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Students are encouraged to contact Millennium Training directly regarding refund or payment concerns before initiating a chargeback.
If a student initiates a chargeback or payment dispute, Millennium Training may review the student’s account and enrollment status and may take appropriate action consistent with its policies and applicable law.
12. Changes to This Policy
Millennium Training may update this Refund and Returns Policy from time to time.
Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated Last Updated date. Students should refer to the most current version of the policy and the Student Handbook for applicable requirements.
